Provincial Examinations

Transcripts and Certification (Grades 10, 11 and 12)

The Ministry of Education gathers student demographic information, applicable provincial exams marks, and corresponding school assigned marks for Grades 10, 11 and 12 courses. The information determines graduation and is provided on transcripts and other certificates where appropriate.

When Transcripts are Available

At the end of July

  • The Ministry produces transcripts for any active Grade 12 or Adult Graduation Program students who have completed courses during that school year. Revised transcripts are produced on a weekly basis during August and September.
  • Transcripts are mailed to the student address that has been provided to the Ministry by the student's school. The school is responsible for ensuring the Ministry has the current address.
  • The Dogwood Diplomas are mailed to the school board offices for distribution to students who have met graduation requirements.

During the school year

  • The Ministry also issues transcripts monthly during the school year for Grade 12 and Adult Graduation Program students whose transcript activity results in graduation or an upgrade from Regular to Honours standing.
  • The transcripts and diplomas are mailed to the school for distribution to students.

Results from August examination sessions are not available in time for September admissions to post-secondary institutions.
