Transcripts - Frequently Asked Questions
| Q. | When will I receive my transcript? |
| A. | At the end of July the Ministry mails transcripts to all active Grade 12 and Adult Graduation Program students, schools and student-designated Post-Secondary Institutions (PSIs). |
| Q. | How do I get additional copies of my transcript? |
| A. | You may order additional copies of your trancript by completing the transcript request form and sending it with the appropriate fee. |
| Q. | What do I do if my Ministry-issued transcript is incorrect? |
| A. | Contact your school or school board office. They will fax the changes to the Ministry. If this happens during August or September you will be issued a revised transcript free-of-charge within a week or two of the changes being reported (during August and September only). Do not phone the Ministry. The Ministry cannot change a student's record without official verification of a course or mark change from the school or school board office. Schools may produce and provide revised transcripts at the request of their students. Note that, if a request to correct your transcript is received by the Ministry outside of the August-September period, a corrected transcript will not automatically be provided to you free-of-charge. If you wish to receive a copy of the corrected transcript, you may order it by sending a Transcript Request along with the appropriate fee. |
| Q. | When will my transcript be sent to the Post-Secondary Institutions (PSIs)? |
| A. | If you completed a PSI Choices form while you were at school, your final marks will be sent to the PSIs at the end of July. For the BC public PSIs, the University of Calgary and the Ontario Universities Application Centre, marks will be sent electronically. All other marks will be sent by regular mail. |
| Q. | If corrections were made to my transcript after it was sent out to the PSIs at the end of July, will the PSIs receive a revised transcript? |
| A. | Yes, if the PSIs are in BC and are public institutes they will receive a revised transcript during August and up until mid-September. |
| A. | No, if the PSIs are out of province they will NOT receive a revised transcript. In this case, the student needs to make a special request to have another transcript sent to the out-of-province PSI. |
