PLNet
The Provincial Learning Network (PLNet) provides reliable, robust and safe network infrastructure enabling communications and the delivery of educational content to schools and post-secondary institutions in British Columbia.
Connecting over 1800 schools, post secondary, and other public institutions in British Columbia, PLNet provides its clients a secure, managed, high-speed connection to Government, to the Internet and to relevant educational programs and subject matter across British Columbia and the entire world. PLNet services are available to clients regardless of geographic location. Rural or urban, remote or metropolitan, PLNet connects B.C.’s educators.
PLNet is sponsored by the British Columbia Ministries of Education and Advanced Education and Labour Market Development, and works with other Ministries and Private Sector Partners to deliver this educational network. PLNet was founded on the principle of universal access: all learners in the province will have access to learning opportunities and educational programs. PLNet brings opportunities and programs to communities who may otherwise be unable to access them through community partnerships.
