Student Samples Introduction

Student samples from 5 of the 24 developed tasks are provided. Additional students samples will be provided when available.

Student work has been assessed according to the criteria in the Rating Scale. Rarely does a student's work fall completely within a single aspect of the scale, for example "fully meets expectations". It is far more common that most areas of a student's work falls within one level of the scale but other areas fall within other levels.

The samples provided are the end product of a student's work and do not demonstrate the application of the Rating Scale to the process of addressing the critical question. Teachers and students will be assessing all aspects of collecting, organizing, and interpreting and analyzing information as the learning takes place. Teachers' comments on this process have been included but are not transparent to the viewer.
