  • consider which children would benefit from intervention support and which need extra attention in specific skills
  • identify areas of confusion for older primary students

  • A tool for teaching based on the assessment.
  • Provides activities for small group intervention that address specific skill needs identified in the assessment.

  • Provides additional instructional activities that support the assessment.
  • Activities are designed for whole class participation and offer valuable support for students at all levels.

BC Performance Standards - Numeracy

  • Provide standards for performance based assessment of Numeracy in Grades 1 - 10.
  • Describe and illustrate four levels of student performance in terms of the prescribed learning outcomes. The levels describe what a student's work looks like at each of the levels of achievement. The Quick Scale provides a summary of the criteria described in greater detail in the Rating Scale.
  • The Performance Standard is intended as a support for ongoing instruction and assessment.
