In a special ceremony, Education Minister Shirley Bond and Advanced Education Minister Murray Coell honoured B.C. students who ranked at the top of their trade at the 2007 Canadian Skills Competition. Twenty B.C. secondary and post-secondary students captured medals: three gold, 11 silver and six bronze.
