INTRODUCTION

Curriculum Organizers


Science and Technology 11 is organized into the following curriculum organizers. The first two course modules listed are *core; all others are optional.

A. Introduction to Science and Technology
As the foundation for the rest of the course, students should have opportunities to identify and apply some of the processes of science and technology, and to explore some related societal concerns.

B. Communications and Explorations
Students should have opportunities to think creatively and critically and to apply the processes of information technology through their exploration of communications systems, and transportation and space technologies. C. Environment and Resources
Students should have opportunities to think creatively and critically and to apply decision-making processes through their exploration of the relationships among technology, the environment, and human activities. D. Human Requirements
Students should have opportunities to examine developments in science and technology and to increase their knowledge about personal, community, and worldwide living requirements. E. Lifestyles, Choices, and the Future
Students should have opportunities to examine human needs and wants in relation to technology, personal and societal choices, and the future.
