THE DEVELOPMENT OF THIS INTEGRATED RESOURCE PACKAGE

A variety of resources were used in the development of this IRP:

• The prescribed learning outcomes, suggested instructional strategies, suggested assessment strategies, and illustrative examples for Mathematics 8 and 9 were developed with reference to The Common Curriculum Framework for K to 9 Mathematics (Western Canadian Protocol for Collaboration in Basic Education, 1995).

This IRP represents the ongoing effort of the province to provide education programs that place importance on high standards in education while providing equity and access for all learners.
