Curriculum Updates

The Education Program Guide Order, [64KB] M333/99, provides a summary of all ministry curricula. The following chart provides an update of curricula to this order, with the IRPs (Integrated Resource Packages) that are currently in the process of being finalized and/or are to be ready for implementation in the 2008/09 school year. Other curricula are status quo.

Optional implementation refers to a transition period in which teachers have the option of using the updated curriculum or the existing curriculum. Full implementation refers to curricula that must be used and that have replaced the former/older versions.

Note: For a complete listing of all other curricula, please refer to the Educational Program Guide Order [64KB] and the Ministry’s IRP website.

* With full implementation of the Sustainable Resources 11 and 12 IRP, the Resource Sciences 11 and 12: Forests IRP (1997), and the Agriculture Curriculum Guide and Resource Book (1993) will be removed from the Educational Program Guide Order.
