An independent School authority must report, without delay, to the issuer(s) of the teacher certificate if it dismisses, suspends, or otherwise disciplines a person holding a certificate of qualification issued by the Inspector of Independent Schools under the Independent School Act or by the BC College of Teachers under the Teaching Profession Act. Teacher resignations must also be reported if the independent school authority considers it in the public interest to do so. Changes came into effect on July 1, 2007 and can be reviewed in the following Acts: Public Notification (Independent School Act, Section 7.4)
