High Level Business Function Model
The High-Level Business Function Model has two components:
- Function Hierarchy Diagram presents a hierarchical breakdown of functions in which the successively lower levels of the hierarchy provide progressively more detailed statements of what the business is required to do.
- Function-Data Usage This component specifies the data that is processed by each elementary function. The Function-Data Usage only includes the entity, not the attribute usages, and is therefore high-level in nature. There are two main techniques for producing this component: the CRUD matrix and the data flow diagram.
