Surveys and Reports
There are a number of provincial and national sources of child and youth health data:

The B.C. Ministry of Education’s Satisfaction Surveys gather opinions from B.C. students, parents and school staff on health literacy, health behaviours, achievement, social development, and safety.

Health Behaviour in School-aged Children is a cross-national research study conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization.

The Adolescent Health Survey is a questionnaire used to gather information about the physical and emotional health of youth in B.C, conducted by the McCreary Centre Society.

The Canadian Community Health Survey collects information related to health status, health care utilization and health determinants for the Canadian population, and provides data at the national, provincial and infraprovincial levels.

The Active Healthy Kids Canada Report Card is an annual assessment of the current state of physical activity among Canadian children and youth, based on several indicators.

The Physical Activity Levels Among Youth (CAN PLAY) Survey is a national study designed to collect comprehensive information on physical activity levels of children and youth aged 5-19, via pedometers.
