GED® Testing Service in British Columbia

The General Educational Development (GED®) is a set of five multiple choice tests in the areas of language arts writing, language arts reading, social studies, science and mathematics. The language arts writing test also requires the writing of an essay.

The GED® Secondary School Equivalency Certificate is awarded to examinees who successfully complete all five tests. For more information please see the Guidebook for Examinees.

The GED® certificate is NOT the same as the Dogwood Diploma awarded to students who complete the graduation requirements of the British Columbia Secondary School Program.
