Ministry of Education: FSA Parent Survey

We are conducting a survey to learn more about your experience with the Foundation Skills Assessment.

The Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA) is a set of reading, writing, and numeracy assessments administered to B.C. students every year in Grades 4 and 7. They are the first two of four provincial assessments:
  • Grade 4 FSA
  • Grade 7 FSA
  • Grade 10 and 12 Literacy assessment
  • Grade 10 Numeracy assessment
In 2017, the FSA was revised to align with the new K-9 curriculum.

It is important for you to know that your responses are confidential in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. We are collecting responses anonymously and no personal information will be recorded that can identify who responses are coming from. To help protect your privacy, please do not provide any personal information in any open-ended response options, such as:
  • Your name
  • Your child's name
  • Your child's teacher's name
  • School name
