British Columbia Early Learning Framework Implementation Project
The Ministry of Education partnered with three post-secondary institutions (the University of Victoria, Northern Lights College, and Selkirk College) to deliver professional development on how to implement the British Columbia Early Learning Framework. Training was held in regions across British Columbia from January to June, 2009. This training guided participants to understand the Framework and how to use and apply the Framework in their practice.
Although these training sessions are now complete, field leaders and college instructors are available to offer professional development on the British Columbia Early Learning Framework. Field leaders are Early Childhood Educators with specialized training and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with young children.
Communities or organizations that would like to organize training sessions on implementing the British Columbia Early Learning Framework can contact a field leader or college instructor in their region for further information.
