Distributed Learning (DL) Satisfaction Survey
The first separate distributed learning satisfaction survey was created in 2006 to parallel the annual provincial survey of neighbourhood schools. While some of the survey questions remained the same for comparison purposes, a set of new questions was created for the distributed learning environment and learner.
The main purpose of the DL Satisfaction Survey is to provide DL schools with a tool for continuous improvement. It is a key component of the Quality Review Process, and informs the administration, school, and teachers on quality practice.
The survey is intended for all DL students and their parents, as well as adult learners. The survey focuses on the student’s DL experience, rather than the quality of a specific course.
The survey may be accessed year-round and is completely anonymous. DL schools may add their own custom questions to the survey, and may review the responses at any time, or see aggregated provincial results. The Ministry will use annual snapshots of survey data to monitor DL program satisfaction levels.
