Intergovernmental Relations

The Intergovernmental Relations Branch works to represent and advance BC’s education interests at the local, provincial, national and international levels.

It creates and builds important cross-jurisdictional partnerships with colleagues in other governments and education organizations. Branch staff also identify and research current and emerging issues to provide strategic advice to the minister, deputy minister, ministry staff and provincial government partners.

Collaborating with our numerous K-12 partners and stakeholders ensures an active voice on education issues, including inter-provincial and pan-Canadian education initiatives.
