As the name suggests, this branch has responsibilities both within and outside the ministry.
The Internal Communications & Partner Relations Branch plans and implements strategic projects and communications initiatives to help staff understand what the ministry is doing, how it relates to their own work, and how their collective, collaborative efforts support the ministry’s core goal of improving student achievement.
The branch is responsible for maintaining the ministry's intranet.
The branch also works outside the ministry, building strategic alliances with education stakeholders and partners to support students, parents, teachers and education administrators in their work to improve student achievement. These alliances are maintained by providing ongoing opportunities for collaboration, professional accomplishment and information sharing.
Programs and initiatives include the EdInfo newsletter and website and the ministry’s program of professional growth webcasts. The branch has also been involved in planning events such as, the Annual Teachers’ Congress, Parent Congress and Student Congress.
