Business Integration Branch

The Business Integration Branch works with school boards and authorities to develop and manage new shared systems.

The branch’s first major project is BCeSIS, the new BC Enterprise Student Information System being adopted by all school boards and more than 100 independent schools in the province.

Building upon the lessons learned from the BCeSIS project, additional common-systems initiatives are also underway:

  • education sector data warehouse
  • capital asset management system
  • common transportation system

The primary goal is to support student achievement. Business Integration works to create simpler, more-effective administrative processes to give schools the opportunity to be more flexible and responsive to students and parents, reduce costs, improve service and support the delivery of better education programs that meet local needs.
