Compliance Review Audit Program

The Funding & Compliance Unit of the Resource Management Division supports the ministry efforts to provide equitable funding to school boards.

Goals and objectives

  • To provide assurance to the ministry and school boards that ministry policy is being followed
  • To promote compliance with ministry policy and legislation by school districts
  • To support the equitable allocation of education funds based on the funding formula
  • To process grant payments and payment adjustments to school districts in an accurately and timely manner

Major program activities

  • The unit conducts audits and reviews in the following areas:
    • K-12 Regular Enrolment
    • Continuing Education Enrolment
    • Special Education
    • Distributed Learning Enrolment
  • The Unit also processes school board payments and adjustments
