Research conducted in 2003 by the Ministry of Children and Family Development in conjunction with the Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Education found that schools that receive MCFD funding for school-based support service demonstrate significantly higher Foundation Skills Assessment results and

• demonstrate significantly higher Foundation Skills Assessment results;

  and,

• have improved Grade 9 to Grade 10 transition rates.
