Back to Identifying Options

Researching and gathering information on an individual's interests, values and skills helps identify possible work and career options. How? Occupations or work situations have specific characteristics such as type of tasks, location of work, hours of work and education and training required. What a person likes to do, what they are good at doing and what is important to them, is also specific. By comparing the two inventories a person can develop a pretty good idea whether or not the work is meant for them. Help your teen research characteristics of a particular job and the results of a self-assessment completed either in their CAPP class or through one of the sites below.
