Frequently Asked Questions

Career Technical Centres (CTCs) are partnerships between school districts and public post-secondary institutions, in consultation with their communities. CTCs are designed to maximize student achievement in trades and technology programs.

CTC students earn both a secondary graduation and post secondary certificate in a broad range of trades and techology areas. CTCs address current and future labour market needs for technically skilled workers.

Currently CTC programs include adventure tourism, automotive, carpentry, welding, electrical, drafting, electronics, information technology, cook training, welding, horticulture, and computer technology. Other programs are in development around the Province.
