Career Preparation Programs

Career Preparation programs are locally developed educational programs that prepare students for entry into the workplace or for further education and training in a specific career pathway. School districts have developed a variety of Career Preparation programs to meet the needs of their students and community.

The goals of Career Preparation include:

• Providing opportunities for enhanced career development activities
• Providing students with entry level skills for specific employment opportunities
• Improving transition between secondary school and the workplace
• Enhancing transition between the secondary and post-secondary education systems
