Assessment Tools for Teachers (ATT) is a database program available to support teachers in planning, designing and evaluating assessment activities in their classrooms. ATT contains test questions, performance tasks and other resources intended to provide teachers with useful classroom tools to use in assessment "of", "for" and "as" learning. The ATT samples are linked to learning outcomes in the BC curriculum and have been reviewed and validated by BC teachers.

The username and password for both the website and the application have been distributed to prinicpals and vice-principals via the ministry e-board. A print copy of the username and password has been mailed to secondary school principals. Please contact your prinicipal for the username and password as you will need it to login and download the tools. 

Samples for the Tools for Teachers assessment application have been collected from BC Ministry of Education documents, including past provincial exams and assessments as well as released samples from other jurisdictions and organizations.

Teachers may find multiple ways to use the tools for:

• class discussions, demonstrations and practical tasks
• student self assessment
• building a test, quiz or an exam

To design an assessment from the tools, teachers can:

• select samples with specific criteria
• export to a Word document
• add the samples from the tools to their own collection of assessment questions, tasks and activities
