School Achievement Indicators program (SAIP)
The Student Achievement Indicators Program (SAIP) is an assessment tool that was designed by the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) to determine student achievement in relation to Canada-wide standards.
SAIP assessed 13 and 16-year-old students in the areas of science, mathematics, reading, and writing. SAIP was conducted on a cyclical basis between 1996 and 2004 and has now been replaced by the Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP).
