Assessing Students
Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA)
FSA is an annual province-wide assessment of British Columbia students' academic skills and provides a snapshot of how well B.C. students in Grades 4 and 7 are learning foundation skills in Reading Comprehension, Writing, and Numeracy.

Performance Standards
Revised for 2009, the BC Performance Standards describe and illustrate student performance relevant to the key areas of reading, writing, numeracy, social responsibility and information and communication technology.

Information for teachers to assist with evaluating and reporting student progress in the classroom, including BC Performance Standards, Integrated Resource Packages (IRPs) and assessment tools.

Outlines the requirements of the Student Progress Report Order (PDF, 38KB), which ensures consistency in report card content. Districts can choose to use their own report cards or use the optional standardized provincial reports cards.
