Ministry of Education Performance Plan for 2000/01 – 2002/03 The Ministry of Education is responsible for the province’s K-12 education system. The purpose of this Performance Plan is to articulate significant activities for 2000/01 – 2002/03 which directly support attainment of the ministry’s long-term goals and objectives. Those ongoing, core activities of the ministry which do not pertain directly to the achievement of the ministry’s long-term goals and objectives are not described in the Performance Plan because the purpose of the plan is to identify those strategies and activities which specifically support the ministry’s goals and objectives.
